Hello from Woodie & Susie.

We’re getting ready for a new chapter: exploring the U.S. together in our travel trailer. This is where we’ll share the places we visit, the photos we take, and the stories we pick up along the way.

02 / OUR RIG SETUP

Our Rig Setup.

We have a 2025 F250 with a 6.7L diesel, 6.9'bed with a ladder rack that holds 4 jerry cans of gas (boon-docking) and two large waterproof travel cases. The bed has a TruckVault drawer system. Our travel trailer is a 25' 2022 RPod 202. I also installed a Champion 4650 gas generator that powers the entire camper and is very quiet.

The Perkins’ r-pod trailer parked on the sand beside the Gulf — Buy a $10 pass that is good for a year and can camp up to a week at one spot.

beach — Port A gets crowded during the summer. They have pilons that keep the traffic off the beach where people setup their chairs and tents - keeps you from getting run over

portabeach — Port A Beachlodge Bar is the only Restaurant/Bar on the beach. They have $2 Frio River Beers.

shortys — Shortys Bar, great place to get a cold beverage and listen to the live music they have on most days.
